1. Quotes & Agreed WorkÂ
All work will be carried out as described in the quotation provided by M-TECH. A quotation is valid for the period stated on the quote and is subject to the availability and pricing of materials and equipment.Â
Work will only begin once the quotation has been accepted by the customer.Â
2. Additional WorkÂ
If additional work is required that was not included in the original quotation, M-TECH will discuss this with the customer before carrying out the additional work wherever reasonably possible.Â
Additional work may be charged at the agreed hourly/day rate or quoted separately.Â
3. Materials & EquipmentÂ
Where M-TECH supplies materials or equipment, these will be detailed in the quotation where appropriate.Â
M-TECH may use equivalent or alternative products where the specified product is unavailable, provided the alternative is suitable for the agreed work.Â
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer's own terms and conditions.Â
4. Existing InstallationsÂ
M-TECH is not responsible for faults, defects or failures in existing wiring, cabling, equipment, networks, internet connections or other installations that were present before work commenced.Â
If existing equipment or infrastructure is found to be unsuitable or defective, additional work may be required and will be discussed with the customer.Â
5. Technical Performance & Third-Party ServicesÂ
Wi-Fi, networking, CCTV, Starlink and smart-home systems can be affected by factors outside M-TECH's control, including the building, existing equipment, internet service and third-party services.Â
M-TECH will install and configure equipment with reasonable care and skill but cannot guarantee the performance of services outside its control.Â
6. Access & Customer ResponsibilitiesÂ
The customer must provide reasonable access to the property and the areas where work is to be carried out.Â
The customer is responsible for ensuring that any information provided to M-TECH is accurate and that any necessary permissions or approvals relating to the property have been obtained.Â
7. PaymentÂ
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due in accordance with the payment terms stated on the quotation or invoice.Â
M-TECH reserves the right to pause or withhold further work where payment is overdue.Â
8. Business CustomersÂ
For business customers, the customer confirms that the person accepting the quotation has authority to do so on behalf of the business.Â
Any agreed payment terms or purchase-order requirements should be confirmed before work begins.Â
9. Domestic Customers & CancellationÂ
For domestic customers, statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.Â
Where applicable, customers may have cancellation rights under consumer legislation, including for contracts agreed away from M-TECH's business premises or at a distance.Â
Where the customer requests that work begins before any applicable cancellation period has ended, M-TECH may require confirmation of that request before commencing work.Â
10. Workmanship, Warranties & ComplaintsÂ
M-TECH will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill.Â
Where equipment or materials are supplied by M-TECH, any applicable manufacturer warranty will remain subject to the manufacturer's terms.Â
If a customer believes there is an issue with the workmanship, they should contact M-TECH as soon as reasonably possible so the issue can be investigated and, where appropriate, rectified.Â
11. Damage & Making GoodÂ
M-TECH will take reasonable care to avoid damage to the customer's property.Â
Where installation work requires drilling, cutting, chasing, fixing or other alterations, some minor making-good may be necessary. Unless specifically included in the quotation, extensive decorating, plastering, painting or other finishing work is not included.Â
12. Supplied Equipment & OwnershipÂ
Where M-TECH supplies equipment or materials, ownership will pass to the customer once full payment for those items and any associated work has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.Â
13. AcceptanceÂ
Acceptance of a quotation confirms that the customer has had the opportunity to review the proposed work and these Terms & Conditions.Â
Acceptance may be provided by email, written confirmation or another agreed method.Â
14. VATÂ
M-TECH is not VAT registered and therefore no VAT is charged on M-TECH's invoices.Â
